Content About Vein Removal

Both laser technology and an injection-based procedure called sclerotherapy can be used to remove unsightly veins.

Laser Vein Removal

Laser Vein Removal is the safest and easiest vein solution available on the market. Most Laser Vein Removal treatments are performed with lasers. No incisions or needles are needed! The specific wavelength of light produced by Laser Vein Removal targets the hemoglobin in your blood vessels. As your blood vessel absorb the light, your unwanted vein is destroyed and harmlessly fades into your body.

Customers can count on our Manhattan laser hair removal and vein removal services to deliver the results they want. In addition to the vein and laser hair removal Manhattan patients prefer, we offer other excellent services like Sclerotherapy.

Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy is a great non-surgical alternative to invasive vein removal surgeries such as ambulatory phlebectomy and vein stripping. Surgical vein procedures require hospital stays, and often result in painful recoveries and possible scarring. Sclerotherapy offers effective varicose vein solutions with minimal pain involved and no downtime. The veins are injected with a sclerosing solution, which causes them to collapse and fade from view. The procedure is relatively quick and painless. Schedule a free consultation with Dr. Dormer to find out which vein removal approach will work best for you.

Content About Photo Rejuvenation

Lasers are excellent treatments for skin pigmentation, sun spots, acne, moles, rosacea and facial veins. Our laser gives at least a 60% improvement with one treatment. This anti-aging treatment improves the texture and tone of the skin and helps give that healthy glow. It can also help the shallow appearance often seen in smokers.

Content About Acne Treatment

At Dormer Medical Spa we use more topical treatments than oral medications to treat acne. For severe acne we use laser with Levulan – a revolutionary topical alternative to the oral Accutane.

Levulan is a chemical that becomes photoactive when exposed to a light source. Acne causing bacteria absorb the Levulan and when exposed to the light it not only kills the bacteria but shrinks the gland that produces the oil as well.

A medical consultation with Dr. Dormer is required prior to treatment with Levulan.

Content About Melasama Treatment

Melasma is a tan or dark skin discoloration, which is particularly common in women who are either pregnant or taking oral contraceptives or hormone replacement therapy medications. It is also prevalent in men and women of Native American descent (on the forearms) and in men and women of German/Russian Jewish descent (on the face). It is particularly prevalent in ethnic skin such as Indian, Latin American, and Asian.

The symptoms of melasma are dark, irregular patches commonly found on the upper cheek, nose, lips, upper lip, and forehead. These patches often develop gradually over time. Melasma does not cause any other symptoms beyond the cosmetic discoloration.

Melasma is a problem of hyperpigmentation that is a result of multiple factors such as hormones, sun damage, aging, and injury. We have developed a treatment that brightens and lightens the skin- depending on the personal preference of whether you just need a glow or a treatment for serious hyperpigmentation. We are pleased to offer this treatment that delivers on its promises as we have a passion for the treatment of hyperpigmentation and melasma. Please come in for a free consult.
